Alcohol by Volume - 12.1.23
Last week we went live on our new online store! With that came a lot of challenges and my poor friend Chris helped me a considerably in setting up the website and online store to take payments, and to take subscriptions.
Chris has not only helped me setting up my business and my blog, he has listened to my fears, celebrated small successes, and gently encouraged me through the last 3 years helping where ever he could! You may have even seen Chris selling wine at the bus or making wine in the garage! I could write volumes on the things he has done for me but instead I will say this: If you need assistance with your business check him out. Here is the link, the picture of the guy climbing the mountain is Chris. link. —-> Pofabro Communications
On another note, the Port is almost ready! The sample went out to the lab but I am guessing the Alc by Vol is about 19% which is spot on for a Port. This is a 2021 ruby port with Sangiovese, Barbera, and Primitivo grapes.
The port label is another story. I wanted to have a black label with a metallic bus in gold, and metallic red letters that say Ruby Port Wine BUT I have spent about 12+ hours trying to understand the software and I used so much of Chris’s time on online store that I would not dare to ask him to help.
Instead I reached out to Veselina, who has done all my business artwork. I may have to give up on the metallic completely and that will sting a bit. The wine may be great but the bottle has to look good, too!
We have so many events coming up and things to do here at the winery that it’s a little hard to breath right now. Please stop by and see us at some of our events below and don’t forget — a gift from a local artisan or producer is a gift that gives so much more than the gift itself! (If I could add emoji’s here or I would send a heart.)
